How it works

From your music folder to the stage in three steps

    Point to your music

    Choose the folders where your songs live — MP3, FLAC, WAV, M4A and more. Cantaê indexes them, reads the covers and tags, and never copies or changes your files.

  2. 02

    Cantaê prepares each song

    On your own computer it separates the voice from the band, finds and syncs the lyrics, and maps the melody you'll be scored against. A queue shows every step as it happens.

  3. 03

    Open the room and sing

    Put the karaoke on the TV, show the QR code and let everyone pick songs from their phones. The queue, the turns and the ranking take care of themselves.

Your playlist, minus the singer

A neural network trained on thousands of songs splits every track into voice and band. Keep a little of the original voice as a guide, mute it completely — or keep the backing vocals and remove just the lead.

What does “preparing” a song mean?

Cantaê separates the voice from the instrumental, finds and syncs the lyrics, and extracts the melody used for scoring. It runs on your computer and you can watch every step in the Preparation queue.

Do guests need to install anything?

No. They scan the QR code and the room opens in the phone's browser. The Android app is optional — it finds the party by itself and can notify you when it's your turn.

Is my voice recorded?

No. The microphone is analyzed in real time to measure pitch and is never recorded or stored.

What counts as a song?

A song you prepare for karaoke (voice separation, lyrics and melody). Browsing and organizing your library is unlimited.
