What you'll need

Cantaê runs its AI on your own computer. Preparing a song is the heavy part; singing is light. On the minimum, songs take longer to prepare, and everything else works the same.

Also good to know

  • Linux: 64-bit, Ubuntu 24.04, Fedora 40 or another distribution from 2024 on, with the same memory and processor as above. macOS is coming soon, for macOS 12 Monterey or later on Apple silicon.
  • Internet on the first launch, to download the AI models (about 1.2 GB), and to find lyrics. Prepared songs play offline.
  • Phones and TVs on the same Wi-Fi: the Cantaê apps need Android 7.0 or later (Android TV, Google TV and Fire TV included), and soon LG TVs with webOS 5 or later, or use any up-to-date browser.
  • Any microphone for scoring: USB, headset or the singer's phone.
